The procurement and supply chain team is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a finance and procurement systems controller to manage and support the finance and procurement systems manager on all components of the new finance and accounting system and source to pay system. The successful candidate will possess significant IT experience and systems knowledge and be able to train users on how to use the new systems effectively.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The finance and procurement systems team delivers key support, analytics and system administration for the 1,000+ end users who interact with Oracle Fusion ERP, including Finance & Accounting and Source to Pay.

We are a close knit team who have created a friendly and supportive atmosphere where all team members are dedicated to providing the highest quality service whilst maintaining a positive and upbeat working environment.

Troubleshooting forms a large part of day to day activity which provides a wide array of opportunities for developing a broad knowledge base and skillset in regards to systems, finance and procurement processes. From supporting end users raising requisitions to ensuring the smooth running of multiple third party integrations, each day presents a different challenge.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide first line support for end users via IT helpdesk logging system
  • Assist in development and maintenance of the finance and procurement systems.
  • Improve efficiency and end user experience.
  • Resolve user issues within agreed triage times assisting in development of SLA’s.
  • Provide user training both one to one and in small groups.
  • Perform system testing and user acceptance testing as the role requires and ensure integrity of all systems and their respective interfaces.
  • Have an understanding of finance and procurement underlying processes and procedures.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Knowledge of data collection and manipulation
  • Experience in an accounting/ procurement or systems role in a large organisation
  • Knowledge of designing advanced spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Systems development processes

Getting to Work

Application can be made for parking on site at UHS or through one of the park and ride schemes.  This will be based on specific criteria to determine eligibility for site parking as this can be very limited.  UHS encourages staff to utilise other green methods of getting to work such as cycling or walking where possible.   UHS is well connected through bus services to the city centre and other areas.
