Job Description:

 

Team/Function Overview:

 

Citi Internal Audit is a global function with approximately 1,800 staff based in 60 plus countries.

Citi Internal Audit provides independent assurance over each of Citi’s businesses, functions and in every country that Citi has a presence.

 

Role / Position Overview:

 

This role sits within the AML Compliance audit team, and will be responsible for execution and delivery of audits across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).
The position will be based in Dublin and will report directly into the C14 Senior Audit Manager, IA Compliance based in London.

 

Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will receive an overview of the business context and specific training to enable them to perform the below key tasks. They will support the Internal Audit department in a specific business, function or region which will be assigned to them upon starting, according to the team’s needs:

•Serves as a team member or lead audit reviewer on audit reviews;  
•Performs audits related to Anti Money Laundering and Compliance, including audit planning, testing effectiveness of controls, completion of audit work-papers, discussing issues with the business and discussing practical solutions, drafting of audit issues and audit reports;
•Monitors the risk environment and assesses the emerging risks through the Business Monitoring process, prepares Business Monitoring Quarterly Summaries and auditable entities Risk Assessments;
•Develops effective line management relationships with the business stakeholders to ensure strong understanding of the business;
•Support the execution of other deliverables within the team as demand requires – Internal Audit and regulatory issues validation, etc.;
•Pro-actively contributes to the development of audit processes improvements.

Qualifications
 

Knowledge/Experience:


•Prior experience in a related Anti Money Laundering, Compliance;
•Understanding of Risks and Controls ideally in a business similar to Citi;
•Intermediate experience in areas related to banking regulations, Compliance programs, local standards, and internal policies is preferable;
•Proven ability to own and execute on a portfolio of deliverables within agreed upon timeframes;
•Internal audit experience would be advantageous.

 

Skills:

 


•Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications;
•Works as part of a wider team.

 

 

Qualifications:

 


•BA/BS or equivalent or equivalent combination of education/experience;
•Related certifications (CIA, ACAMS or similar) are a plus.


Competencies:

 


•Effective negotiation and communication skills both orally and in writing, able to provide real time feedback and escalation; 
•Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with business management;
•Able to analyse regulations and requirements, risks and controls, include these appropriately within audit coverage.
